Looking for a few dog professors for a Water Therapy Class!

September 15th, 2009

Hi everyone!

The Rex Center in Pacifica offers safe, gentle assisted canine swims and open swims for self motivated pups.  Professional canine swim coaches work in the water with dogs, implementing their unique program of assisted swimming and Reiki-influenced bodywork to maximize fitness. Dogs of all ages, sizes, and physical conditions can benefit from these assisted swims and gentle, safe massage and bodywork.  It’s like a spa/health center for dogs!

In October, water therapy teacher Cindy Horsfall is visiting from Washington to teach a class of four students. The goal is to have a total of 25 dogs over the course so that the students get a variety of dogs to work with. Its all about learning a lot about warm-water canine aquatics, massage, and the therapeutic benefits of putting it all together.

This is not all about the swimming, so even a dog who isn’t super athletic or doesn’t know how to swim can be a great professor. They need a variety of dogs - young able-bodied, mid-age hesitant never-been-in- water, handicapped, and old dogs who just need a good water massage…

If you’re interested, complete the form at the link below and send it to the Rex Center.  These sessions will be Free!
