San Francisco hosts the largest LGBT gathering in the nation this weekend, the 38th Annual Pride Parade and Celebration. With over half a million folks expected to march, there’s also a smaller scale option for those with dogs — ’cause we all know pooches prefer to party in more manageable sized groups.

Join in the fun by outfitting your fur friend and heading over to the East Bay. Meet at the Rockridge BART station plaza at 10 a.m. to mingle with the folks heading to Pride. Then get ready for a rainbow of paws to hit pavement while queers, canines and friends walk through the quaint town of Rockridge and march to Hardy Dog Park where pups and their people will romp, mingle and relax in the shade. Leashes, colorful costumes and signs are encouraged.

Pure Pride and Joy. Literally.
